• Caritas of Austin
  Caritas of Austin works to prevent homelessness and hunger by assisting low-income community members and refugees with basic needs and promoting self-sufficiency.
• Out Youth
  Out Youth is a non-profit organization whose mission is to support and provide services to gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and questioning youth ages 12 to 19 in Austin and Central Texas.

  A professional agency providing quality resettlement for refugees and other displaced peoples from around the world.
• Safe Place
  Based in Austin, Safe Place provides services and counseling to survivors of domestic violence. Volunteer opportunities available.

  Based in Pasadena, Calif., the center helps run the California Asian American Student Coalition (CASIC) internships for undergraduate students interested in public office.
• Conference on Asian Pacific American Leadership
  Based in Washington, D.C., CAPAL offers internships.
• Cultural Survival
  Based in Cambridge, Mass., CS offers year-round internships in all its departments on the issue of the rights of indigenous peoples.
• The Fund for American Studies/Georgetown University
  Internships are available through the Institute on Political Journalism, Bryce Harlow Institute on Business and Government Affairs, Institute on Philanthropy and Voluntary Service, and Engalitcheff Institute on Comparative Political and Economic Systems.
• Hamilton-Madison House
  Based in New York City, Hamilton-Madison House offers graduate students internships in social work, early childhood education and psychology in Asian American communities.
• International Institute of San Francisco
  Based in San Francisco, this institute offers internships in areas of refugee resettlement, citizenship education and social services.
• Immigration and Refugee Services of America
  IRSA - U.S. Committee for Refugees, based in Washington, D.C., offers internships in region-specific research, government relations, media relations, development and fundraising.
• Minnesota Advocates for Human Rights
  Based in Minneapolis, Minn., Minnesota Advocates offers internships in projects including refugee and asylum, human rights education, women's human rights, International Women's Day, human rights monitoring and the death penalty.
• National Asian Pacific American Legal Consortium 
  Based in Washington, D.C., NAPALC offers internships in areas such as legal, communications, funding and community outreach.
• Northern California Coalition for Immigrant Rights
  Based in San Francisco, NCCIR offers internships in policy, education and advocacy.
• National Coalition for Asian Pacific American Community Development
  Based in Washington, D.C., CAPACD offers internships in policy development and advocacy, action research, membership development and communications, and organizational and program development.
• National Network for Immigrant and Refugee Rights

  Based in Baltimore, MD, the institute offers internships in research, design, administrative work and writing on issues of prejudice, discrimination and ethnoviolence.

  Based in Rosemead, Calif., TACL offers an annual political Summer Internship Program in L.A., D.C., and New York City.

  A New York-based resource for Asian American artists, AAAA is always looking for volunteers and offers member benefits to those who help out.
• The Asian American Writers' Workshop
  Established in 1991, The Asian American Writers' Worshop, Inc. is a non-profit literaty arts organization dedicated to the creation, development, publication and dissemination of Asian American literature.

  As the nation's premier Asian American theatre organization, East West Players produces outstanding works and educational programs that give voice to the Asian Pacific American experience.
