Student Open House

Fri, May 2, 2008 • 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM • CAAAS Conference Room

The Center for African and African American Studies (CAAAS) and the Black Student Advisory Committee (BSAC) will be hosting an Open House on May 2nd, 2008 from 12-2 pm. The purpose of this event is to introduce undergraduate students to the CAAAS and the many valuable services it provides. We believe that by exposing students to the CAAAS they will gain access to invaluable resources, inspirational educators, enlightening events, and so much more. Most importantly, students will be given the opportunity to strengthen their connection to the black community.

This event is set to take place May 2nd from 12pm-2pm on the Second Floor of the Jester Center in A232A. There will be great food and desserts catered by Central Market, numerous opportunities to win gift certificates to Tony's Barbeque, Hoover's Cooking, and Victory grill, speakers who will discuss the CAAAS, and plenty of time to mingle and enjoy the CAAAS's atmosphere. Visitors can stop by any time between 12-2 pm, but food will be first come first serve and may not last throughout the entire period.

Faculty, Staff, Undergraduates, and Graduates are all invited to attend because they are all an important part of the CAAAS. Please spread the word about this event to as many students as possible. A flyer about the event has also been attached.

Thanks for your support and we look forward to seeing you at the CAAAS's Open House. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me at desiretaylor@gmail.com.
