The experiences of Black/African American students on the University of Texas at Austin campus have recently been in the spotlight. Incidents of racism in the wake of the Fisher v. Texas Supreme Court hearing on affirmative action combined with a glass ceiling of 5% for admission of African American students invites us to engage in thoughtful conversation about the past, present, and future state of Blacks at UT.

Topics Include:

Campus Climate for African American Students

Fisher v. Texas Supreme Court Case

UT Admissions and Enrollment of African American Students

Black Faculty Staff Achievements & Issues

Black Alumni then and now:  What can we do together?

Why aren’t there more Black graduate students at UT?

Moderator: Jonathan Sprinkles, CEO
