Warfield Center for African and African American Studies in congratulating our affiliate faculty member Frank Guridy, Associate Professor in the Department of History and the African and African Diaspora Studies department for winning the 2009/10 Elsa Goveia Book Prize awarded by the Association of Caribbean Historians (ACH)  in recognition of excellence in the field of Caribbean history for his recently publish work  Forging Diaspora: Afro-Cubans and African-Americans in a World of Empire and Jim Crow (University of North Carolina Press, 2010)!
