The ISESE Gallery is a living arts space designed to encourage, promote, and sustain Black artistic expression. By foregrounding Austin-based Black artists, we highlight the rich artistic production of our immediate community to generate greater understanding and support of Black creative practices in Texas.
Through the ISESE Gallery, the Warfield Center has produced major exhibits, and currently maintains a permanent collection while offering classes, lectures and seminars in our space. In addition, the ISESE Gallery presents the work of nationally-recognized Black artists in order to provide opportunities to experience the broader living tradition of Black expressive culture. Our mission is to create an educational environment that builds and preserves community through critical and creative reflection on Black public art.
Gallery hours may vary. For more information please call (512) 471-1784.
