Media Contact Information:
The Center for Middle Eastern Studies is happy to help representatives of the media locate experts to assist with understanding the Middle East.
Contacting Center faculty
The initial point of contact for media representatives at the Center is Christopher Rose, Outreach Coordinator. Mr. Rose can assist in contacting members of the Center faculty. It is not necessary to contact him if you have already designated a member of the Center or University faculty that you wish to speak with. He can be reached at (512) 471-3582.
Media representatives are welcome to use our Faculty Directory to locate a member of our faculty whose specialization matches your interests. Please note that we are unable to provide home telephone numbers for faculty who have chosen not to include them in our directory.
For interviews about the Center or Department of Middle Eastern Studies, please contact the Director, Kamran Aghaie, at (512) 471-3881.
Media representatives may also find the Media Guide to UT Experts useful in locating members of the University faculty who are not affiliated with the Center for Middle Eastern Studies.
Finally, the Middle East Studies Association of North America has an online directory of members nationwide that is searchable by geographic location, discipline, and job title.
Please note that individual faculty members may grant or deny interviews at their own discretion.
Please contact the Center for Middle Eastern Studies for more information.
