REE 325 • 20th Century Czech Fiction - W

Course Description

This course examines the works of twentieth century Czech writers and filmmakers. The works of Skvorecky, Kundera, Vaculik, and Hrabal will be examined. Two or three movies by Czech filmmakers will be viewed. Emphasis is on how art survived under the oppressive political conditions of Czechoslovakia.
