Course Description
Beginning Hungarian introduces learners to the language of a vibrant nation in the heart of Europe. The course will emphasize language use in contemporary Hungarian by developing learners' listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in culturally relevant and meaningful contexts. Beginning Hungarian seeks to integrate knowledge of the culture and society of contemporary Hungary with the acquisition of grammar and vocabulary. Classroom activities will focus on meaningful communication, and will be supplemented with Hungarian film and video material.
