Dr. Lazin is the Lynn and Lloyd Hurst Family Professor of Local Government at Ben Gurion University of the Negev, where he serves as the Chair of the Department of Politics and Government. His work focuses, among others, on issues of immigration and social integration, ethnicity and political behavior, and the role of universities in the development of public policy. He has authored numerous articles and books, the most recent of which include Project Renewal: Politics and Implementation (Ben Gurion University Press, 1999, in Hebrew); The Struggle for Soviet Jewry in American Politics: Israel versus the American Jewish Establishment (Lexington Books, 2005); and Local Government Reforms in Countries in Transition: A Global Perspective (co-editor, Lexington Books, forthcoming).
