Korotkiye Vstrechi (Brief Encounters)

The lives of two women, one a regional bureaucrat, the other a simple country girl, are intertwined with the life of Maxim, a free-spirited guitar-strumming geologist. This film also stars Kira Muratova, who directed the film. Banned by the Soviet censors for 20 years, it was only released under Gorbachev.
