Call for applications: Truitt Scholarship for Russian Studies - Due April 8th, 2014

$1,000 award + Non-resident Tuition Exemption for Graduate Students!

The application is now open to incoming and continuting CREEES Graduate Students!

CREEES is proud to once again offer the Bruce E. and Kathleen B. Truitt Russian Studies Scholarship, a stipend of $1,000 dollars, available to an incoming or current CREEES graduate student. The award also includes a non-resident tuition exemption for out of state students. The Truitt Scholarship is granted to students based on an application essay that demonstrates academic merit and describes current research interests within the CREEES region as well as professional objectives.

To receive consideration from the CREEES Truitt Scholarship Committee, you must be currently enrolled or admitted in the Master of Arts program at CREEES and in good academic standing.

 

Submission Instructions:

  1. Download, print and fill out the 2014-15 Truitt Scholarship Application Form.
  2. Your essay must have your name, EID and the words “Truitt Scholarship Essay” at the top of the page.
  3. All files should be submitted together (ie. in one email with “Truitt Scholarship Application” in the subject line OR paper clipped, NOT STAPLED if by hand/mail).
  4. Submit all application materials together to BUR 444 or by email to creees@austin.utexas.edu.

*** Application deadline: 5:00pm on Tuesday, April 8, 2014. *** 
(The scholarship recipient will be notified before April 14th.)
