UT Austin Russia Day
Russia Day is a CREEES outreach event for middle and high school students, held in the spring semester. Students come with their teachers to the UT campus to get an "immersion experience" in Russian culture, language, traditions and history. We offer ethnic foods, Russian games, Cyrillic alphabet lessons, Russian music and other opportunities to experience the intellectual and cultural riches of both the world's largest country and the university environment. Local area high schools as well as schools from other Texas cities all participate. All presentations and activities are conducted by volunteer faculty members and graduate and undergraduate students. Teachers who would like their classes to participate in Russia Day should contact Allegra Azulay, CREEES Outreach Coordinator, at 471-7782 or email aazulay@mail.utexas.edu For the collection of photos click here.
