DVD Library
The Department of Slavic and Eurasian Studies and CREEES maintain a DVD library of materials specifically for use by students taking RUS, POL, SC, CZ and SLavic and CREEES faculty. The DVD library contains mostly Russian movies, but there are also Czech, Macedonian, Serbo-Croatian, Albanian, Polish, Tajik, Kyrgyz, Hungarian, Armenian movies. Thanks to the generous donation of the Austin Polish Society the Library received over 30 Polish movies.
The DVD library of the Department of Slavic and Eurasian Studies and CREEES is located in CAL 422.
Since this is a classroom, it is recommended you come in between in classes, or place a request for a certain movie from the DVD library with the staff of the Slavic Department and come pick it up later.
To borrow a movie you need to come to CAL 415, and present a valid UT Austin ID.
Movies can be check out for up to 2 weeks at a time, or longer or if someone else hasn’t requested use of the movie. Arrangements can be made for this purpose.
If a DVD disc is lost or damaged upon return, the borrower will have to provide a substitute copy of the movie or purchase the movie on-line and have it delivered to the Slavic Department.
If you have any questions, or if you would like to request a movie you can call (512) 471-3607
