1 - Application 

If you are new to the program and have not completed any requirements, please fill out the information as best you can. You may resubmit this email to update your portfolio registration requirements at any time.  Please do not include "planned" courses.

List 4 courses if you are a PhD student. List 3 courses if you are a Master's student. For each class please list -

This is an interdisciplinary program. At least TWO courses must be taken in TWO different departments outside of the student's home department.

2 - Additional Requirements

WGS Student Conference

List titles of papers and dates of attendance presented at UT WGS student conferences:
This conference is usually in the spring semester.  In 2009 it was in April.  The next conference will be on February 19, 2010.

Statement of Interest (or Reflection)

Submit a paragraph on how WGS fits into your academic experience and how you have benefitted (or will benefit) from the Portfolio Program.

3 - Join the ListServe

WGS Portfolio Students are required to be subscribed to the Women's and Gender Studies Graduate listserve.  Subscribe to the listserve. Please visit: https://utlists.utexas.edu/sympa/subscribe/wgs-grads

Students are responsible for keeping in touch with the WGS office. Please notify the office when you have completed all requirements, so that we may award your portfolio. When the program is completed, the student's official UT transcript will read, "Portfolio in Women's & Gender Studies." A printed certificate from the Center is also available upon request.
