Course Description
This lecture and discussion course will introduce students to concepts of leadership and will look at the application of those concepts, particularly in public and political leadership. The course also focuses on how leadership styles differ between men and women. Several state and local leaders, in a wide variety of fields, will be guest speakers. The class is aimed to enhance the leadership skills of current campus leaders and to encourage them to continue serving in leadership positions after graduation.
Grading Policy
Attendance and class participation, 5% Leadership Source Paper, 0% Class Presentation (2.5 minute speech), 10% Paper on 2 Leader Interviews, 15% Guest lecturer papers (2), 5% Major Paper, 40% Final Project Paper, 25%
