Course Description

This seminar will offer students a chance to read, discuss and write about select Public Relations cases regarding some of their favorite interests - blogging, mall shopping and music downloads. Through these cases, the class will explore current social trends, questions of social responsibility, and cultural issues related to women and parenting. CONTAINS A SUBSTANTIAL WRITING COMPONENT AND FULFILLS PART OF THE BASIC EDUCATION REQUIREMENT IN WRITING. COURSE NUMBER MAY BE REPEATED FOR CREDIT WHEN THE TOPICS VARY. WGS 301 AND W S 301 MAY NOT BOTH BE COUNTED UNLESS THE TOPICS VARY.
