Women's History Month: Leslie Reagan

Leslie Reagan works on the history of women's reproductive health. Leslie Reagan, Associate Professor of History at the University of Illinois, will speak on "When Abortion Was a Crime: Women, Medicine and the Law in the U.S., 1867 -1873." This talk will draw on her book, which won the Law and Society Association's James Willard Hurst Prize for Best Book in Legal History (among other awards), and will add new research she is undertaking on the intersections between the lives of ordinary people and the law, society, and public health. The talk will take place in MEZ 1.306 from 3-5, and a reception will follow the talk in GAR 100 from 5-6:30.
