Got privilege? How to start using white privilege and class privilege for social change
Fri, November 3, 2006 • 8:30 AM - 11:30 PM • Utopia Theater (School of Social Work)
The CWGS Race, Ethnicity and Gender (REG) Research Cluster is sponsoring two events in November as part of a series of talks on Power and Privilege: Campus Discussions.
The speaker is Clare Bayard, White Anti-Racist Activist and Trainer for CATALYST, a San-Francisco-based organization that is part of a growing movement to challenge young people with white privilege, class privilege, and other forms of privilege to use their privilege for social change. The event is co-sponsored by the School of Social Work's Diversity Institute. For more information about these events or if you are interested in learning more about the Race, Ethnicity and Gender Research Cluster, email Dorie Gilbert at dgm@mail.utexas.edu.
