Childhood Sexual Abuse and Parenting Among Adolescent Mexican-American Mothers
Fri, April 27, 2007 • 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM • GEB 3.312
The aim of this study was to explore the influence of childhood sexual abuse (CSA) on dissociation, intimate parenting anxiety, and infant feeding method among Mexican-American adolescent mothers. Adolescent mothers with CSA histories were expected to breastfeed rather than formula feed, and they were expected to experience more dissociation and greater parenting anxiety than adolescent mothers without CSA histories.
