BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Walker's work is in the area of health promotion of childbearing-aged women. Her research and teaching focus on psychosocial dimensions of parenting and health in the childbearing years. She is Luci B. Johnson Centennial Professor and a Certified Lifestyle Counselor. She is also Mentoring Core Director for the Southwest Partnership Center for Nursing Research on Health Disparities and Theory and Methods Core Director for the Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention.
