Cynthia Walker Peña Scholarship
The scholarship is awarded annually to an undergraduate student who has earned distinction in Women’s and Gender Studies scholarship and service. Scholarship to be awarded at the Annual Spring Reception in late April/early May, date TBA.
Requirements:
- Application (3 copies)
- 2-5 page essay on a gender topic (3 copies)
- Resume (3 copies)
- Six hours of Women’s and Gender Studies courses
- Academic standing
- Activities in community/campus service
***Application materials must be properly collated into three packets.***
Essays and applications must be received by 5pm on February 25th in WWH 401 (Campus Club).

Lora Romero Memorial Award for Interdisciplinary Research in Race, Ethnicity and Gender
Award to be announced at the Annual Spring Reception in late April/early May, date TBA.
Requirements:
- Application Form (3 copies)
- A paper which contributes to increased understanding of the intersection between race, ethnicity and gender (3 copies)
***Application materials must be properly collated into three packets.***
Applications must be received by 5pm on February 25th, 2008 in WWH 401 (Campus Club)
