Teaching and teacher education; early childhood and elementary education; kindergarten teachers' pedagogical and curricular decision-making; how kindergarten teachers balance their commitment to developmentally appropriate practices with their responsibility to prepare their students to meet district expectations and state benchmarks for academic achievement.
