Educational Psychology Professor Named Associate Director of Center for Women’s and Gender Studies

Alissa Sherry, Ph.D has been appointed associate director of the Center for Women’s and Gender Studies (CWGS). Dr. Sherry is an Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Psychology. She teaches primarily in the doctoral counseling psychology program. Her areas of interest are in identity development, particularly LGBT identity and intersections between sexuality and other aspects of diversity (race, SES, religion, etc). She is also interested in the area of forensic psychology, particularly in legal areas having the greatest impact on gender and sexuality such as sexual harassment and LGBT adoption.
