Government and Asian Studies major Rose Legrone has been awarded a Fulbright research grant to study in Seoul, South Korea next year.
The Fulbright U.S. Student Program is the largest U.S. exchange program offering opportunities for students and young professionals to undertake international graduate study, advanced research, university teaching, and primary and secondary school teaching worldwide.
Over the ten month period in Seoul, Rose plans to research social policies regarding women in the workforce, focusing on how these policies influence women’s decision to have children. In particular, she intends to concentrate on the prohibitive factors of childbirth for college-educated women participating in the workforce.
