Faculty Research Grants

The Center for European Studies/EU Center of Excellence is pleased to offer several faculty research grants thanks to funding from the European Union, Department of Education and the Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER) at the McCombs School of Business.

Business Studies Grant

Competition for two grants of $4,000 each for research with a focus in Business in the EU and/or Business relations between the EU and US. CIBER, a program housed in the McCombs School of Business, will fund three $4,000 faculty stipends for research with a focus on Business in the EU and/or Business relations between the EU and US, or to support collaborative research between researchers at our university and their colleagues in the EU in an effort to promote increased dialogue about important topics of common interest related to Business in the EU and/or Business relations between the EU and US. Funded by CIBER.

DEADLINE: The application deadline has been extended to December 20, 2013.

Faculty Research Grant - Europe

Available for any scholarly research dedicated to Europe. Two grants of $2,000 each are available for international travel and two grants of $1,000 each for domestic travel. These funds may be used for travel to conduct research on Europe-related topics, but not to simply attend a conference. All travel must be pre-approved by the DoE and submitted to CES at least thirty days before travel. All travel must be completed by August 15, 2014.  Funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Education.

Faculty Research Grant - EU Policy/Relations

Competition for two grants of $3,000 each for research on EU Public Policy or EU-US Relations. The overall aim of this grant is to ensure that EU public policy ideas and best practices are widely understood in the US by both academia and policy makers alike. To this effect, this research grant will award faculty at UT the funding to conduct field research in Europe and meet with key policy makers at the supranational and Member State national level. Funded by a grant from the European Union.
