Exchanges: Erfurt and Viadrina
Through the Study Abroad office, UT offers dozens of student exchanges in Western and Central Europe. There are two programs, however, that are housed specifically at the Center - Erfurt and Viadrina.
Viadrina
Just one hour by train from Berlin, the European Iniversity Viadrina is a popular destination for faculty and students. And with an exchange agreement between UT and Viadrina, we are delighted to welcome a visiting scholar each spring who teaches courses at UT on various European matters. The University offers:

Erfurt
The University of Erfurt, or Universität Erfurt, offers exchange for UT students during the spring or academic year. Students who go to Erfurt are assigned an Erfurt student who is there to help orient the UT student to the city and University and available to answer questions as they arise. After arrival, UT students begin with a three week immersion course which enables the faculty to place students in the correct German class for their level. Organized trips are available.
