Austin Jewish Film Festival: The Names of Love
Thu, February 2, 2012 • 7:00 PM - 9:30 PM • GAR 0.102
The final screening in conjunction with the tenth annual Austin Jewish Film Festival.
Baya Benmahmoud (Sara Forestier) is a young, left-wing activist determined to convert the multitudes she dubs "fascists" — by going to bed with them. She's mostly happy with the results, until she meets her match in middle-aged Arthur Martin (Jacques Gamblin). When the sparks start to fly, they must confront their differences in this Woody Allen-esque French comedy.
The Names of Love (2010), the second feature film from director Michael Leclerk, took home Best Actress and Best Original Screenplay at the 2011 Césars (the French equivalent of the Academy Awards). Don't miss your last chance to get a sneak peak of festival offerings! Free and open to the public.
