CALL FOR PAPERS: The University of Texas Undergraduate Research Journal
Mon, February 27, 2012 • 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM • Online
We want your research paper! The one you spent all semester agonizing over and that represents the pinnacle of your work thus far at UT. If you would like others to read it too, and perhaps even cite it, submit it for publication in our journal!
WHO: The Undergraduate Research Journal (URJ) is a work of multi-disciplinary research produced and edited by University of Texas at Austin undergraduate students. The journal is published every spring semester and is circulated across campus, as well as across other prestigious universities in the United States.
WHAT: The URJ is looking for interesting, and lucid pieces that present original ideas. We want research that challenges readers to see an issue from a different vantage point, that considers new ideas, or that synthesizes already-existing works. All disciplines are welcome.
Submissions can include: products of coursework, independent study, supervised research, senior theses, etc. All past [within one year of graduation] or current full or part-time undergraduate students in good standing at the University of Texas at Austin are invited to submit their articles for review.
Visit http://texasurj.com/submission for more information.
The submission deadline for the 2011-2012 school year is February 29, 2012 at 12 noon. The selection process will be completed in March of 2012. There is a $250+ award for the best paper by an upper division student and a $100+ award for the best paper by a lower division student.
Copies of the 2011 journals are in circulation! If you would like one or have any questions, please contact Bobby Jenkins, editor-in-chief, at email@example.com
