"My Grandfather's People" focuses on the late 1970s and early 1980s in Turkey while relating personal memories of the 1924 population exchange agreement between Turkey and Greece under the Treaty of Lausanne. A warm family drama accompanied by a challenging, socio-political idealism.
The Turkish Film Series is co-sponsored by the Department of Middle Eastern Studies and Austin-Antalya Sister Cities Committee.
All films are free and open to the public, in Turkish with English subtitles.
The closest public parking is in the Co-op and Dobie Mall Garages.
