Publication Indices

Journal of Indo-European Studies

The Journal of Indo-European Studies indices were created with support from the Diebold Foundation and augmented with support from a successor foundation, Salus Mundi. The indices are designed as a service to scholars and members of the public interested in Indo-European language and culture.

At present there are JIES indices for journal articles and reviews published in volumes 1 (1973) through 35 (2007), plus Monographs published through 2006. Later JIES volumes and issues, and additions to the Monograph series, will be indexed as they are published and as time & resources permit.

Indices

We maintain three different indices for the Journal of Indo-European Studies:

  1. Articles indexed by author, where author names are alphabetized, and each entry includes article title with JIES volume & page number.
  2. Reviews indexed by [book] author/editor, where author/editor names are alphabetized, and each review entry includes [book] title, reviewer's name, and JIES volume & page number, etc.
  3. Reviews indexed by reviewer, where reviewer names are alphabetized, and each review entry includes the [book] author/editor if named, the title, and the JIES volume & page number, etc.

In addition, we maintain a list of JIES Monographs in numerical order, with unnumbered Monographs listed last.

Tables of Contents

We maintain a separate Table of Contents listing for each volume of the Journal of Indo-European Studies, listing the articles and reviews therein:
