Biography
Dr. Falbo is the recognized expert on the one-child family and only children. She has also done extensive research about education, particularly how families affect educational outcomes. Her research interests include family size and education. Dr. Falbo engages in interdisciplinary research. Current projects include: work with Dr. Laura Lein on adolescents transition to high school, and ethnic identity projects ongoing in Guatemala (with Yetilu de Baessa) and in the Yanbian region of China (with Rich Lee and Hyun-Sim Lee). In addition, Dr. Falbo is currently working with Dr. Chandra Muller on creating an educational extension to the AddHealth Data set.
