Michael received a Ph.D. in economics from Princeton University in 2012. His ongoing work examines selection and other distortions in US health insurance markets. He also studies the impact of sanitation on health and mortality in the developing world.
Michael is on leave as a Robert Wood Johnson Health Policy Scholar at Harvard University through December 2013.
