Deepti Agarwal

Deepti Agarwal is currently pursuing a MS in Social Work. Her research interests include social and economic development of women, inequality in income and assets in certain groups of people,impact on organizational practices on workforce, and inequalities in health across states. Her involvement with Mahakaushal Association of Women Entrepreneurs (MAWE; a state level NGO working in collaboration with the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises), has given the chance to closely interact with the target group. She has been able to witness firsthand, the numerous problems faced by women entrepreneurs (and women in general). Her experience with Teach India has also highlighted similar disparities in terms of education and opportunities available, and the correlation to health and economic development.
