Phillip Cantu

Phillip Cantu is a first year graduate student in the department of sociology.  He is interested in health inequalities pertaining to healthy life expectancy at birth and morbidity. Phillip's interests also pertain to the ways in which minority groups understand health and healthcare and what role place and spatial relations play in healthcare outcome. He will be using GIS and spatial analysis to further research currently being done in schools of nursing and public health departments by employing a sociological line of inquiry.
