Research+Pizza Features Paige Harden on Sexuality and Development
Thu, September 5, 2013 • 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM • Perry-Castañeda Library, Room 2.500
Assistant professor in the Department of Psychology and Population Research Center Paige Harden discusses her research on teen sexuality —impulsivity, timing of first sexual experiences and the effects of different kinds of sexual relationshipson social and intellectual development.
Harden’s primary research revolves around developmental psychopathology, in which she studies the interplay between genetic factors and family and social environments in shaping atypical adolescent development. Harden is particularly interested in the development of externalizing problems, such as delinquency, alcohol and substance use, and risky sexual behavior.
