Field(s) of Study: Health Disparities

Research interests:
Patrick M. Krueger studies the social stratification of health, with a particular focus on understanding the mechanisms that lead to race/ethnic, sex, and class disparities in health over the life-course. Specifically, he examines how individuals convert social, cultural, and economic resources into health through health promoting behaviors; how family and neighborhood dynamics shape health and mortality outcomes; and how intra-individual factors shape orientations toward health and health trajectories over time.
