Kate C. Prickett Receives Two Paper Awards

PRC Trainee Kate C. Prickett received two awards at the 2011 Gerontological Society of America Annual Scientific Meeting, held in Boston November 18-22. The paper, "Contextualizing Mexican American Living Arrangements: The New Old Age and the Constraints of Culture," received two awards: the Student Poster Award from the Taskforce on Minority Issues in Gerontology, and Student Poster Award from the Emerging Scholar and Professional Organization.
The work is co-authored with Professor Jacqueline Angel and supported by an R01 grant award by the National Institute for Minority Health and Health Disparities on the risk of long-term care in older Mexican American families. Click here to read more about the project.
