PRC Director Mark Hayward Appointed to the National Academy of Sciences' Committee on Population

Mark Hayward, director of the Population Research Center, Centennial Commission Professor in the Liberal Arts and Professor of Sociology, was appointed to the National Academy of Sciences' Committee on Population. Established in 1983, the Committee on Population makes connections between the population sciences and public policy.
Members of the committee and the panels it organizes serve as volunteers. The current chair of the committee is Dr. Linda J. Waite of the University of Chicago.
