Learn more about Professor Tatjana Lichtenstein's four-week study abroad opportunity.

Multiculturalism is front and center in Europe. Although the attention centers on very recent immigration; religious, linguistic, and ethnic diversity is a fundamental part of Europe's history. Examine the history of Jews, one of Europe's most significant minorities, as evidence of a rich Jewish past is all around Prague. Uncover what the city can tell us about Jewish life through lectures, excursions and readings. The course is designed for students, with or without prior knowledge of Jewish culture and history, to acquire a solid command of Prague Jewish culture and history in order to conduct independent research and group projects by using specific places in the city as entry points into its history.
