Austin Educators' Breakfast Series: Anti-Bias Education

In conjunction with Light / The Holocaust & Humanity Project.

The Anti-Defamation League presents the Austin Educators’ Breakfast Series: Anti-Bias Education with special guest speaker Dr. Rebecca Bigler, Psychology and Women’s and Gender Studies (UT).

This ADL’s Educators’ Breakfast will focus on anti-bias curriculum and the importance of integrating it into early education. Attendees will receive free specially selected lesson plans to assist educators in helping their students better understand concepts of bias and discrimination and respond to them in productive ways. Dr. Bigler will discuss the early onset of social stereotyping and bias and the importance of intervention.

Continental Breakfast will be served.

Light  / The Holocaust & Humanity Project is a full-length contemporary ballet and Holocaust education partnership that promotes the protection of human rights against bigotry and hate through arts, education, and public dialogue. Light / The Holocaust & Humanity Project returns to Austin in 2012 from Martin Luther King Jr. Day (January 15) through Yom HaShoah or Holocaust Remembrance Day (April 19), with events/initiatives led by more than 30 community partners.
