KLRU's Spark @ The Moody: Gerda Weissman Klein
Tue, March 20, 2012 • 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM • The Moody Theater @ 310 W. Willie Nelson Blvd., Austin, TX 78701
KLRU's monthly engaging speakers series welcomes Holocaust Survivor Gerda Weissman Klein in honor of Light / The Holocaust & Humanity Project in March.
Exploring some of the most relevant questions of our time, Spark @ The Moody takes a thoughtful look at health care, politics, education and more. With a focus on innovative thinkers from Austin and beyond the series is more than just a presentation of concepts — it's a search for real solutions in our community. Each event includes a lively dialogue with experts followed by an opportunity for audience questions.
Light / The Holocaust & Humanity Project is a full-length contemporary ballet and Holocaust education partnership that promotes the protection of human rights against bigotry and hate through arts, education, and public dialogue. Light / The Holocaust & Humanity Project returns to Austin in 2012 from Martin Luther King Jr. Day (January 15) through Yom HaShoah or Holocaust Remembrance Day (April 19), with events/initiatives led by more than 30 community partners.
