Blogs, and Chat, and Tweets, Oh My! Using Social Media in FL Instruction
Half-day Workshop on Sept 28
Posted: September 18, 2013
Sat, September 28, 2013 • 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM • CLA 1.104, UT-Austin
Our students are on social media more than 20 hours a week. By tapping into that time and having students use Facebook, Twitter, Live Journal, and other sites in the foreign language, both students and teachers benefit from increased contact hours.
Join Thomas J. Garza, Department of Slavic and Eurasian Studies; Min Jung Jee, Department of Asian Studies; Orlando Kelm, Department of Spanish and Portuguese, and Vincent Vanderheijden, Department of Germanic Studies to learn how you can incorporate social media in your foreign language classes.
Four hours of CPE credit is available for this workshop.
Register* at the TLC Store, links.utexas.edu/cewkwzn, by September 25 to receive lunch!
