Wed, October 15, 2008 | Classics Lounge (WAG 116) and the great outdoors

3:00 PM

This year, you have the opportunity to mark the occasion in style by participating in a poetry recitation contest in Vergil's honor. Please choose 10-11 lines from any work of Vergil, memorize these lines, and come prepared to recite them in front of a panel of friendly faculty judges at 3:00 pm on October 15th. Prizes will be awarded to first, second, and third place winners, and certificates will be given to all participants.

Not quite up to reciting poetry in public? You can still come and support your friends, listen to beautiful poetry, eat some birthday cake, and enjoy the pleasant company of fellow UT-classicists!
