CMAS PláticArte: Teatro Chicana

Wed, April 14, 2010 | Room 1.134, F. Loren Winship Drama Building, The University of Texas at Austin

5:30 PM - 7:30 PM

The Center for Mexican American Studies (CMAS) at The University of Texas at Austin is pleased to welcome four contributors from Teatro Chicana: A Collective Memoir and Selected Plays to campus for an interactive public presentation.

The contributors--Felicitas Nuñez, Delia Rodríguez, Judy Drummond, and Hilda Rodríguez--will provide an ensemble type of public presentation that not only discusses their book, but involves the audience in creating skits to discuss current issues, as well as re-enact key portions of their own work.  The pláticarte will also include time for question and answer from the audience.  A small reception will follow the presentation.

The pláticarte will take place in room 1.134 of the F. Loren Winship Drama Building (WIN). Public parking is available in the San Jactino Garage (SJG), 2401 San Jacinto Bouvelard.
