CMAS Carlos E. Castañeda Postdoctoral Fellowship Finalist Presentation: Lorena Alvarado

Lorena Alvarado, research scholar at the Center for the Study of Women, the University of California, Los Angeles, and a lecturer in the Department of Chicano-Latino Studies at the University of California, Irvine, is a finalist for a CMAS Carlos E. Castañeda Postdoctoral Fellowship in Mexican American Studies for the 2013-2014 academic year.  Dr. Alvarado holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Culture and Performance from the University of California, Los Angeles. The title of her presentation is "Transnational Laments and the Queering of the Ranchera."
