Screening and Discussion: "Latino Americans"

Latino Americans, a landmark six-hour documentary on PBS, chronicles the rich and varied history and experiences of Latinos over the course of 500 years. After the screening Dr. Domino Perez, Director of the Center for Mexican American Studies, will talk with producer John Valadez (producer of Episode 3 and 5) about the making of the film. Refreshments will be provided.
Construction will be taking place on the first floor of the CMB, so please be advised that guests will need to access the building by going through the entrance on the second floor. Signs and volunteers will be on hand. Doors will open at 11:30 am, with seating limited to 100. This event is free and open to the public.
Latino Americans will air on consecutive Tuesdays on KLRU (18.1) on September 17 & 24 and October 1st at 7:00 pm CT. The series will also air in Spanish six consecutive Fridays on KLRU’s VME (18.4) channel at 9:00 pm CT.
