The Center for Mexican American Studies (CMAS) at The University of Texas at Austin will host the second annual George I. Sánchez Memorial Lectures in the Social Sciences and Humanities on Friday, April 24, 2009.
The George I. Sánchez Memorial Lectures in the Social Sciences and Education will be presented by CMAS faculty associates who are either in their first year of service at the University or who have been recently promoted to tenure or full professor.
Gloria González-Lopéz, Associate Professor, Department of Sociology.
"Engaged Research on Incest in Mexican Society."
Néstor P. Rodríguez, Professor, Department of Sociology.
"Evolving Relations Between African Americans and Latinos."
