Interview with Dr. Shirin Ebadi wins national award

Last year, Dr. Shirin Ebadi, 2003 Nobel Peace Prize winner visited The University of Texas at Austin. While in Austin, Dr. Ebadi sat for an in-depth interview with KOOP Radio's Khotan Shahbazi-Harmon on human rights, Islam and democracy, modernity vs. westernization, and the creative lengths women go to regain their human rights in Iran today.  The interview won the 2010 Gracie Award for "Outstanding Interview Program" by the Board of Directors and Foundation Trustees of American Women in Radio and Television.
