In The Department

AADS staff has temporarily been relocated to the CLA Building. All administrative staff, including the graduate and undergraduate coordinators, are in CLA 4.610. The finance team is located in CLA 3.610. All faculty are still in their Bellmont offices.

Dr. Edmund T. Gordon, Chair of the Department of African and African Diaspora Studies, received a Presidential Citation on Thursday evening, April 17.  As one of the university’s highest honors, this prestigious program was established to recognize the extraordinary contributions of individuals who personify the University’s commitment to the task of transforming lives. These programs will give you the hands on opportunity to study global blackness. The San Francisco program will allow the exploration of one of the most beautiful cities in the world and show you the ugly issues the city faces with its Black communities.
