Course Description
This course will investigate ways in which American Culture has incorporated the Holocaust into its historical and moral imagination. We will meet as a seminar for classes that will be mostly discussion and sometimes lecture, and in which the readings and other course material will provide the basis for a series of short writing assignments as well as discussion. Each student will also prepare a longer paper on a topic of his or her choice, in consultation with and approved by me.
